Within the SQL Editor, you will see a toolbar option called Check Syntax. It's found in the same
toolbar drop down as Format SQL and CRUD Report.
This feature will analyze the script in your SQL Editor and display any errors found in the syntax.
An active database connection is not needed but a datasource must be selected. This is the case because
the SQL Editor needs to know what type of syntax it's checking (e.g. PL/SQL or T-SQL). This syntax checker
is an "offline" syntax checker. It will only confirm that the syntax is in good form. It will not validate
the existence of the database objects referenced in the script.
The Check Syntax feature in the SQL Editor window is designed to work specifically for Microsoft T-SQL,
Oracle PL/SQL and ANSI Standard SQL. It will work for most Sybase T-SQL.
